Consultation

I love engaging with other clinicians, supporting personal and professional growth.

Bring your questions, we’ll explore the responses and answers that come our way. Working with the underlying principles of relationship and nervous system regulation, we can talk, explore somatic interventions and/or do regulation-based work together. All of you is welcome.

My training includes extensive work in attachment and trauma theory, as well as numerous and ongoing trainings in attachment-based, trauma-related, somatic therapies. I work with a social justice lens, incorporating awareness and discussion about how we and our clients are impacted by identities and social locations in our cultures and society.

I worked for many years in a non-profit that supported children 0-7 and their caregivers. I studied (and continue studying) parenting models focused on strengthening the parent-child relationship to create a secure base for children. In homes and in the office, I provided services including individual play therapy, dyadic parent-child therapy, family therapy and, for the adults, individual or couples counseling. I used an attachment-based trauma-informed lens, integrating Somatic Experiencing into treatment as I studied it. As my studies expanded to include therapeutic touch/therapeutic presence, I integrated that into treatment as best I could.

My own healing experiences convinced me that fully incorporating touch/presence into therapy would add a whole new dimension to healing. After thirteen years in agency work, I moved into private practice to control my time and the direction of my interests and talents. I worked with clients in person, transitioning to providing online services only. I continue to work with children (including older ones and teens) and caregivers, as well as individual adults, specializing in supporting healing early developmental trauma in people of all ages.

Give yourself the gift of support.
